Krista Kearney is the Director of Bands at Central High School. Ms. Kearney graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2013 and has since served as Director of Bands in Illinois, South Carolina and Tennessee. From 2010-2017 Ms. Kearney taught a variety of middle school, high school and non scholastic ensembles such as concert band, jazz band, marching band, indoor drumline, pep band, brass choir and drum corps. She has had the honor of medaling her students at contests such as Illinois State Championships, Drum Corps International Open Class Finals and WGI World Championship Finals. She has performed in traveling groups such as the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps and SIUE Trumpet Studio for the International Trumpet Guild Conference. Her professional affiliations include NAfME, the International Trumpet Guild, Drum Corps International and Tri M Music Honor Society.

Alex Mink

Alex Mink is Director of Bands at Central High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.  In addition to his responsibilities at Central, Alex assists with the Knoxville Saxophone Ensemble as a tenor and bass saxophonist, and is a tenor saxophonist for the Tennessee Wind Symphony. Before coming to Central, Alex served as Band Director at Sycamore Middle School and Sycamore High School in Pleasant View, Tennessee where his bands received numerous accolades. He also served as a board member for Clarksville Youth Performing Arts Association. 


Alex obtained his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Tennessee, where he served as a graduate assistant for the Pride of the Southland Marching Band and basketball pep bands.  During this time, he performed at the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium and American Bandmaster’s Association National Conference.  Alex is a member of the Tennessee Bandmaster’s Association, East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association, National Association for Music Education, and Tennessee Music Educator’s Association.

Dr. Sean Greene is the Band Director at Gresham Middle School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Greene has been a music clinician, teacher and adjudicator across the United States since he began his professional teaching career in Morgan County, TN in 1999. Dr. Greene comes to Knox County Schools from Oak Ridge where he was the Band Director at Robertsville Middle School for five years. Dr. Greene’s bands are consistently rated as ‘Superior’ in concert assessments and other adjudicated events.

Sean earned the Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Dr. Greene is an artist/clinician for Eastman Winds in Pomona, California and he plays Eastman brass instruments. Sean currently serves as Jazz Chair for the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association. He lives in Fountain City with his wife and their two daughters.
